Maine Needs is a nonprofit doing the very unglamorous and very important work of showing up for neighbors across Maine. They connect people with essentials like clothing, hygiene items, household goods, and everyday support, all with a focus on dignity, care, and actual human kindness. Basically: community, but with sleeves rolled up and snacks in the trunk.
