Handle gently, as stearin is beautifully hard but naturally brittle. Minor cracks won't affect performance because the wick runs through the entire candle. Burn for up to 4 hours at a time, leave 4" (10 cm) between candles, and stop burning when about ¾" (2 cm) of wax remains.
