Jon Klassen creates books that quietly lure you in with simple illustrations and then hit you with a joke three pages later. Known for his deadpan humor, unforgettable characters, and eyes that somehow do most of the storytelling, Klassen has become a modern legend in children's books. His stories are funny, slightly odd, and packed with the kind of cleverness that makes kids laugh and grown-ups glance at each other across the room. Exactly our kind of book.

Red Cap Cards proves that a greeting card doesn’t have to be boring—or worse, forgettable. Based in Los Angeles, they collaborate with some of the best illustrators around to make cards you’ll want to frame, not toss. Equal parts witty and wonderful, Red Cap keeps snail mail feeling fresh.
