Studio Arhoj’s Ghosts are proof that a little clay can have a whole lot of personality. 👻 Hand-thrown, glazed, decorated, and fired three times, each wide-eyed character is inspired by the Shinto belief that everything has a soul. Yes, even a small blob of clay staring at you from the bookshelf.

Every Ghost is completely handmade and one-of-a-kind, with its own shape, glaze, colors, and wonderfully odd little expression. Keep one around as a lucky talisman, give your rings somewhere fabulous to live, or add a tiny ceramic roommate to your shelf. Collecting more than one is a very real risk.

A little Ghost matchmaking: The Ghost pictured won’t necessarily be the Ghost you receive. That’s part of the fun. Each one is completely unique, and we’ll personally choose a particularly good little weirdo to send your way.

Who's Behind the Design

Studio Arhoj is a Copenhagen-based design studio founded by designer and illustrator Anders Arhoj, creator of some of the most charmingly odd ceramics and glassware we've ever met. Every piece is handmade in Denmark by a team of potters, glassmakers, and glaze magicians, resulting in colorful objects with big personalities and a tendency to make people say, "Wait, who is that little guy?"

Hei-Hey's founder first fell for Studio Arhoj at More & Co. in Portland and later made a pilgrimage to the studio in Copenhagen, where the kiln heat, shelves of Ghosts, and endless glaze experiments only made the obsession worse. Thankfully for all of us, she brought that obsession home.

$10 flat-rate shipping on orders up to $150. Spend $150 or more and shipping’s on us (continental U.S. only).
