And that Unikko print? Born in 1964 when florals weren’t exactly invited to the party. Maija Isola brought them anyway. We’re still grateful.

Care & Use

inse after each shower and let it hang out to dry. Wash separately following the temperature on the tag. A quick iron after washing helps reactivate the water-repellent finish.

Who's Behind the Design

Maija Isola was the Finnish design legend who made Marimekko a household name in the 1960s. As head designer, she created over 500 patterns—including the iconic Unikko (“Poppy”)—turning everyday motifs into fearless, oversized graphics. Bold, colorful, and unapologetic, her prints didn’t just decorate fabric, they made Marimekko famous and redefined what pattern could be.
